older yet again.

no random thoughts for today. had a wonderful weekend over at jiahui's chalet and dinner on sunday night at manhattan fish market. YES! It's her 21st birthday and my 22nd birthday on 17th and mine on 20th respectively. Doug's birthday is on the 27th but we decided to share the cost for the dinner since we were a little off budget as of late.

Once again best wishes to the 4 birthday peeps during this mth. not forgetting sean my man.

guess up next on the agenda would be to get myself into CNB, work and save money. hope everything goes well. oh yeah, new look for me. blond hair baby! not the light blond but a little darker, somewhere near orange. but its gonna go off if i get through the selection so i'll enjoy it while it lasts.

tired and out.

GST hike again. sigh

thought of the day: yet another GST hike. bahh.

thoughts from me: well, they did advise bloggers not to mention any political in your blog. but sad to say, this recent GST hike has been the newest hot topic after the must talked about tammy incident.

7% GST means i gotta freaking pay $7 for every freaking 100 bucks i spend. so to say if i were to purchase a plasma tv at a cost of $3000 i would have to pay $210 extra. scary thought. that's why the prices you see in most electronic stores are AFTER GST.

it seems just not long ago when we had the GST raised to 5%. or maybe i have a very bad time frame. it seemed like yesterday when i enlisted into army anyway. that aside, this means that the standard of living just got higher in singapore.

seriously i wonder, how long would it take at this rate before the GST is raised to 10%? lets wait and see.

a little too tired to blog. i woke up from my sleep all of a sudden. some bad things happened and its affecting my mood totally.

to ke xin: sorry for what i said and did. it just happened at the worse time possible. until you forgive me i dont think i got the right to address you intimately. if you need me or any help at all i am just a call away.

to NRA peeps: thanks for taking in the comments. dont doubt your abilities as a great crew. looking forward to the next funkamania. =)

to justified: all due respect for standing up for your friend. peace mate. =)

to sean, douglas, bryan, dion, jia hui and lastly myself: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (sorry for those belated ones.)

tired. peace out =)

thought of the day: NRA danzation 2006: success or not?
thoughts from me: first off, whatever is gonna be written below is purely for discussion sake. this is my blog; i write what i want to. if you are uncomfortable reading it the big X at the top right corner of this browser is always there for you. simply said: i paid $12 for the performance. sadly the performance was only worth a mere $7 to me. so here i am ranting off the remaining 5 bucks.

the first ever NRA in house production at their very own Ngee Ann Poly. quite a turnout to say the least. i aint good with numbers so i wont be giving a figure for the turnout. however the show left much room for improvements. perhaps more notably is the draggy conversations between the emcees. sadly to say i could have came out of the convention centre at least 30-45 minutes earlier should they have shorten their trash talk. tried bloody hard to impress the audience with corny jokes, but in my opinion backfired on them. dragging the show doesnt make people happy. i would have watched a damn Jacky Wu variety show if i wanted more laughs.

2nd noticeable problem of the performance: too much singing. it says "DANZATION 2006", NOT "talent-quest 2006". i am pretty sure the audience came in expectation of seeing good dance performances. singing + dancing in my opinion is pretty redundant. if you wanna show people that you can do MTV steps, by all means. the singing didnt impress me much.

next on the list would be definitely our very own daphne khoo. i dont know whether is it just me, but the show very much focused on daphne. well seeing her in front in most items doesnt really affect me, since i do recognise her abilities as a good dancer. but having her sing a good 5 songs was a little too much. seriously, stop riding on her name. yes everybody knows her, the ones who dont will definitely do after going for the show tonight anyway. just a tad too much of daphne in one night for me.

lastly would be the flow of motion for the items. i couldnt really catch any themes. couldnt really decipher what they were trying to potray to me in each item. as a layman, all i know is i am seeing alot of repeated stuff. i cant explain whats popping, locking and stuff. but trust me i can recognise them. too much of the same stuff: bad. too much changes in the style for each particular item too.

ultimately i'd rate the performance as 5/10 for a 1st time production by NRA. there were still alot of good points to it. good old Mr James really tickled me abit. dancers were good too, gave their best shot at it. props to that. yes guys, you made us proud, no doubt about it.

i wrote my opinions the way i deemed fit. in fact i wished someone from NRA could see this and spread the word. i aint no pro dancer myself, i just wish to see a better show next year when i go for danzation 2007. i always believe criticism brings room for improvement. and people who accepts criticism are the ones who will go far. danzation 2006: success or not? you decide. =)

had supper after the show and went home. dead tired due to lag of sleep. out.

stay home friday

thought of the day: what is an ah lian?

thoughts from me: commonly discussed topic. from what i recall everytime this topic turns out to be a joke making a mockery out of girls who just can't snap out of their juvenile years. i ever came across this blog which really tickled me from the way the described what is an ah lian. random thought when i was playing AuditionSEA so i decided to blog it.

so folks, here goes the list:
1. As expected, everything must be PINK. Pink polo, tees, bags, hp wrappings etc etc. you name it, they have it.

2. Make-up so thick that when the wind blows, some actually comes off.

3. Hair of unnatural color. I believe no one is born with purple, pink, blue or green hair. trust me on that.

4. Must listen to TONG HUA (and be bloody obsessed with it).

5. SMS tone for their handphones must be loud enough to reach the other cabins to your left and right on the MRT. They strongly believe in being public nuisances. NO FREAKING IDEA WHY.

6. Eurodance for life. Prefer remixes by unknown "DJs" such as DJ Ah beng - techno fever (rojak mix 2006).

7. Loves Pure milk and NWO. I love it when they wear tees with the big word "NEWBIE" in the front. utterly n00bish.

8. Must have kors, di, meis, jies, papa, mama and a whole bloody complicated family tree of non blood-related people. If i recall, they call this (jie mui qing shen)

9. Must type like this: "iiiie luUuUrRrbBb euUUu". Alternate caps and tons of additional letters. Cute? I think not.

10. Highly articulate in the use of the hokkien language; the vulgar words that is.

11. Loves to take neoprints. Often seen in poses that simply irks you.

12. Loves to wear tight denim skirts, but often you see fat thighs. Absolute turn off.

13. Has 5-10 extra friendster accounts for total strangers who are adding them because these twits think that she is chio.

14. Often uses nicknames of no depth. I.E xiia0gurrrl miissylove princessgal ahhtoot. The list goes on.

15. Rebonded hair is a must.

Should more than 5 of the above list sound like you, congrats. You are definitely a full-fledged lian. no questions about it.

Those with more to add to the list feel free to MSN me.

boring day at home, thus the boring post. =)

back in the scene

thought of the day: are cars really that essential in wooing girls?

thoughts from me: suddenly thought of this question earlier in the day. came to realize that girls are getting more materialistic. i ain't stereotyping here; girls nowadays just give me that kind of feeling: no car = no date.

"shallow" is the perfect word to describe such girls. i find it pretty disturbing when girls ask guys questions like "you wanna jio me out ar? GOT CAR ANOT HAR?". utter disgust. no amount of looks can make up for the sheer ugliness of that sentence. to start with, some girls who go after guys with cars ain't even decent looking.

fortunately, there are girls who still love guys for who they are, not for their cars.

if you're looking to marry off a rich boyfriend so you don't have to work your ass off, then i suggest you look for a dying old man. that way you can ask him to make you his beneficiary and inherit his assets after he die. immoral but effective nonetheless.

god knows when I last did this. blogging that is. It's been awhile, but I needed some place to throw my thoughts and comments.

and the best place is none other than my own blog space.

jobless as of late. my application for the job at CNB is pretty much pending. perhaps its high time I found some part time job till the application goes through.

well. not much to talk about. this being the first post I really have nothing much in mind to share. when I did this I kinda realized that my HTML skills is getting from bad to worse. could hardly remember any of the HTML codes.

for an impromptu personal web space done in less than a day, this should suffice by normal standards.
